Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position offers an opportunity to work with one of the leading international construction firms, supporting the financial operations of a dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
- Process a high volume of invoices daily, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Perform detailed data entry tasks, including numeric entries, to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Utilize Sage Timberline software to manage accounts payable functions efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to resolve discrepancies and facilitate smooth operations.
- Verify and reconcile invoice details, ensuring consistency with purchase orders and contracts.
- Maintain organized documentation and filing systems for audits and reference purposes.
- Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing accounts payable reports.
- Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to address payment inquiries.
- Support the department in meeting daily operational needs and deadlines. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable, with a focus on high-volume invoice processing.
- Proficiency in Sage Timberline software or similar accounting systems.
- Strong numeric data entry skills with attention to accuracy and speed.
- Familiarity with construction industry practices is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and records efficiently.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and regulations.
