Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Farmingale, New York. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. This opportunity is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately process, code, and record invoices in compliance with company policies.

- Perform regular check runs and ensure timely disbursement of payments.

- Verify invoice data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.

- Maintain organized records of accounts payable transactions and documentation.

- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to address payment inquiries.

- Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.

- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up to ensure timely payment.

- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounts payable processes.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and company guidelines.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable or related financial roles.

- Proficiency in coding invoices and managing check runs.

- Strong understanding of invoice processing and payment procedures.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies effectively.

- Familiarity with accounting software and systems.

- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

- Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
