We are currently seeking a Trust & Estate Tax Manager to join our team in either our Jericho, NY or New York, NY office location. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing firm.
Responsibilities- Researching, complying, planning and administering the following: fiduciary income tax returns, estate & gift tax returns
- Directing tax seniors and staff accountants; ensuring that assignments are accomplished within the budgeted time
- Interacting with clients to discuss issues regarding tax information throughout the year
- Developing technical knowledge through participation in organization meetings, training programs, attending industry events and participation in research activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive tax preparation, review and supervisory experience; previous experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA or EA license required
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, initiative, and leadership skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with a computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Tax software, Pro Systems Engagement and CCH Axcess
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Ability to work additional hours as needed
- Ability to work in a team environment, supervise staff and lead projects
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and consistently demonstrates respect for others
