Staff Accountant

Job Description

Growing commercial title insurance company seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage bookkeeping, bill payment, and day-to-day accounting operations. The role requires a highly organized individual with strong accounting fundamentals who can handle multiple financial responsibilities in a fast-paced real estate environment.

• Manage accounts payable and pay company bills
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping and financial records
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor operating and escrow accounts
• Track title insurance premiums, remittances, and disbursements
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and financial statements
• Coordinate with outside accountants on tax filings and year-end reporting
• Maintain organized accounting records and internal controls

• 5+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or public accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with Quick Books or similar accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Real estate, escrow, law firm, or title insurance accounting experience is a plus

• $60,000 – $90,000 salary depending on experience
