The third New York City addition to the Kimpton portfolio, the striking tower features 529 guest rooms and inspired social spaces, including two full‑service restaurants, a lobby lounge and a rooftop bar.
Additional amenities include a fitness center and two spaces to host unique meetings and social gatherings.
The Accounting Manager plays a vital role in supporting the financial operations of [Hotel Name]. This position works closely with the Assistant Director of Finance to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records, maintain compliance with company policies and external regulations, and contribute to the overall financial health of the hotel. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, highly organized, and possess a strong understanding of hotel accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Management:
- Ensuring daily deposit of cash/credit card receipts.
- Collecting, counting, and balancing all cash drops.
- Preparing/making daily bank deposits.
- Copying all checks.
- Verifying daily deposits received.
- Conducting monthly bank audits.
- Accounts Receivable Management:
- Manage accounts receivable function including preparation of statements, processing A/R payments and basic filing of accounts receivable documentation.
- Billing & Reconciliation:
- Managing group billing.
- Managing daily posting masters reconciliations.
- Guest Service & Support:
- Performing customer services as it relates to filing and preparing documents, statements and letters, processing guest requests for folios, billing corrections.
- Daily log updates for no‑show charges.
- Reconciliation of third‑party charges.
- Payroll Processing:
- Review and process weekly payroll, payroll‑related reports and Payroll Journal Entries.
- Analyze and update productivity reports.
- Review labor and productivity reports with Department Heads.
- Financial Support & Auditing:
- Assisting Assistant Director of Finance with Accounts payable as needed.
- Assisting with Balance sheet accounts reconciliations as needed.
- Assisting during quarterly and yearly audits.
- Assisting with any ad‑hoc assignments as needed.
Minimum 1‑2 years of experience in accounting. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is desirable for this role, and candidates with previous hotel accounting experience will be highly preferred. Proven experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. To perform this job successfully, the employee will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently with or without reasonable accommodation.
Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to understand balance sheets and revenue vs expense accounts. Must have working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Excellent computer skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel. Ability to work extensively on a computer and remain in a sedentary position for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Typical Compensation Range- Base Salary: $75K - $85K
