Our client, a highly regarded architectural and engineering firm, is seeking a temporary Project Accounting Manager / Controller to oversee the accounting function and serve as a key financial partner within the organization. About the Role:We’re seeking a hands‑on accounting professional who values collaboration, transparency, and an open‑door leadership culture. The Controller will manage the day‑to‑day accounting operations, produce accurate financial statements, and partner closely with the firm’s external CPA.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all aspects of accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
- AIA G702 and G703 functions
- Prepare and send invoices; follow up on outstanding balances
- Handle payroll processing, including 1099 preparation
- Perform bank reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare flash reports, profit & loss statements, and monthly financial statements in Quick Books
- Partner with leadership and external CPA on financial strategy and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Quick Books and Microsoft Excel proficiency required
- Industry experience within architecture, engineering, or construction required
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
