Role Summary
The Accounting Manager oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis for both brands. This role manages a small but high‑performing team—including one AP Coordinator, an external accounting consultant, and an outside CPA firm—and partners closely with the COO. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, process‑oriented, and experienced with Net Suite
.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Controls- Oversee daily accounting operations across both brands.
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and documentation.
- Oversee AP Coordinator to ensure proper coding, invoice processing, and vendor management.
- Coordinate with external consultant and outside CPA for audits, tax filings, and technical accounting matters.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for the COO and leadership team.
- Maintain accurate general ledgers and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Develop management reporting packages with insights on trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
- Partner with COO on cash flow modeling, margin analysis, and scenario planning.
- Provide financial insights to support decision‑making across operations, merchandising, and strategy.
- Serve as the internal subject‑matter expert on Net Suite ERP, ensuring data accuracy and proper workflows.
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting processes.
- Support integration projects, system enhancements, and cross‑functional data needs.
- Supervise and develop the AP Coordinator.
- Manage relationships with external accounting partners, ensuring timely deliverables and high performance.
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CMA a plus.
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience, including general accounting and FP&A exposure.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Proficiency with Net Suite required.
- Excellent analytical and Excel/modeling skills.
- Experience in fashion, apparel, or consumer goods preferred (not required).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with leadership.
- Hands‑on, organized, and comfortable in a high‑growth environment.
Salary $125,000-$150,000
