Staff Property Accountant | Real Estate Management Firm | Room for Growth
A prominent and rapidly growing Manhattan based real estate management firm specializing in luxury residential properties is seeking a Staff Property Accountant to assist the team with all aspects of accounting, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, and capex for a portfolio of properties in the New York metropolitan area.
Responsibilities- Perform the day-to-day accounting and assist with financial reporting.
- Perform full cycle accounts payable function.
- Responsible for accounts receivable and relevant reporting.
- Perform reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Update tenant security deposit transactions.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and preparation of financial statements.
- Assist with the distribution of monthly owner statements.
- Assist with reconciling intercompany accounts.
- Interface with external auditors and tax consultants.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- BA in relevant discipline.
- 2+ years of experience with property accounting required.
- Proficiency with Yardi or similar real estate accounting software preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
- Be able to multi-task and be a team player.
Salary (Commensurate with experience level): $70,000 – 75,000 plus bonus, comprehensive health benefits and other valuable perks.
