Temp Controller

Atlantic Group is hiring! Become an integral part of our client's Finance/Accounting team as a Temp Controller
, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer. This role is crucial for managing accounting procedures, performing daily and monthly accounting tasks, and supporting special projects, including future system implementations.

Compensation: $90 – $125/hour

Location:

• Month-End Close
  :
  Manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses.
• Financial Reporting
  :
  Prepare periodic financial reports and monitor project revenue, spending, commitments, and available cash.
• Compliance
  :
  Ensure adherence to GAAP, FASB, and internal controls while assisting in implementing new accounting policies and standards.
• Audit Support
  :
  Act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests and assist with year-end audit preparation.
• Process Improvement
  :
  Identify areas for improvement in accounting processes, drive automation, and implement internal control initiatives.
• Financial Analysis
  :
  Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information.
• Support Projects
  :
  Assist with financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and troubleshooting for assigned projects.
• Documentation
  :
  Maintain and document processes, internal control policies, and procedures.

• Education
  :
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (advanced degree preferred).
• Experience
  : 5-8 years of Accounting/Finance experience in SaaS, with prior management of accounting staff and public accounting preferred.
• Skills
  :
  Advanced Excel skills, proficiency in Quick Books, Salesforce, and other accounting software.
• Knowledge
  :
  Thorough understanding of general ledger accounting, account reconciliation, and GAAP compliance.
• Attributes
  :
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow standard procedures.
