Corporate Accounting Director

Overview

Our client, a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization, is seeking a Corporate Accounting Director to join its fully remote team. This role will report to the Corporate Controller and play a key part in building and leading the corporate accounting function within a dynamic, acquisition-driven environment. The Corporate Accounting Director will oversee corporate accounting operations, including financial consolidations, technical accounting, systems integration, and acquisition integration.

This position will partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and scalable processes that support continued growth.

• Lead financial integration of acquired entities, including purchase accounting, opening balance sheet validation, and alignment of accounting policies.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting.
• Manage technical accounting matters and support the development and implementation of accounting policies.
• Own multi-entity consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and complex ownership structures.
• Drive ERP and financial systems integration, while identifying automation and process improvement opportunities.
• Build, lead, and mentor a corporate accounting team, establishing clear goals, KPIs, and development plans.
• Partner with Finance, FP&A, Tax, IT, auditors, and leadership to strengthen internal controls and support strategic initiatives.
