Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading global apparel company, is looking for an Accountant to join their team! This will be a hybrid role working out of their office in Midtown Manhattan. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. • Contract Role:
  Temp to possible permanent
• Pay: $30-34/hr on W2
• Schedule:
  
  Hybrid, 4 days onsite 1 day remote

• Assist with preparing the month-end close
• Oversee the General Ledger
• Identify and resolve any accounting discrepancies
• Perform Balance Sheet reconciliations and flux analysis
• Assist with aligning actuals to budgets
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assist with external audits

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master's Degree in Accountancy is a plus
• 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, ideally within the fashion, retail, or consumer goods industry
• Knowledge of GAAP and experience handling month-end closes processes
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system is preferred
