Client/Job Summary
:
Our client is a transportation investor and supplier looking to fill a few roles within their accounting department. The assistant controller role involves leading preparing and review month-end close, financial and management reporting, and overseeing additional daily accounting operations.
- Oversee daily accounting activities.
- Assist with the month- and quarter-end processes.
- Assist with 10-Q and 10-K reporting packages.
- Assist with monthly journal entries.
- Improve processes and internal controls.
- Work cross-functionally for operating and management reporting.
- Be the point of contact for auditors.
- 7+ years of experience, including at a Big 4 public accounting firm
- Experience with SOX compliance, managing monthly close processes, and GAAP.
- Experience in transportation or manufacturing industries preferred.
- Experience with Quantum ERP system preferred.
Qualifications: 5+ YOE ideally in Big 4 or technical accounting, strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and emerging accounting standards
Qualifications: 2-4 YOE at a Big 4 firm, experience in GAAP, month-end close, general ledger accounting, and Excel
