Senior Billing Accountant

Our client is a real estate firm. They seek a Senior Billing Accountant to join their Manhattan, NY office.

• Interprets tenant leases to ensure accurate invoicing, billing, and escalation calculations in accordance with lease terms
• Manages revenue billing by timely updating tenant charges and maintaining accurate billing records in Yardi
• Administers Yardi for new leases, renewals, terminations, escalations, utility sales, and tenant sales
• Prepares monthly accrual and reclassification journal entries and supports the monthly close for all properties
• Maintains escalation files and supporting documentation for tenants at core properties
• Processes tenant commissions, allowance reimbursements, utility invoices, and cash receipts/applications
• Prepares and issues monthly invoices and statements while resolving tenant billing inquiries
• Monitors utility sales, escalations, and tenant sales to support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Supports special projects, year-end audits, and J-SOX documentation related to billing processes
• Performs additional duties as assigned

• 3-5 years of experience in billing, accounting, or real estate lease administration
• 2-3 years of experience in either commercial or residential real estate
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
