New York based HVAC services firm is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist in accounting operations. This role has the potential to grow into a Controller position within the next 3-5 years and would be an integral part of the Accounting team
Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation and filing of tax returns.
- Create schedules and financial statements for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and ACH reconciliations accurately and on time.
- Follow up with insurance companies and attorneys on outstanding matters.
- Support in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency in Quick Books is required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is strongly preferred
- Must have a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle
