Job Title
Senior Accountant – Sponsored Projects Finance (SPF)
LocationManhattan – 2 days a week
Pay Range$50-55 / HR W2
Responsibilities- Cash Management & Reconciliation: prepare and maintain supporting documentation for the posting of Letter of Credit (LOC) cash receipts to appropriate sponsored projects.
- Reconcile LOC payments with accounts receivable balances.
- Coordinate LOC activity with SPF team members to ensure timely and accurate posting of cash receipts.
- Financial Reporting: prepare and submit quarterly Federal Cash Transaction Reports (FCTRs) in compliance with federal agency requirements.
- Reconcile internal financial systems with data provided by federal sponsors.
- Identify and propose necessary adjustments to the University's accounting system to ensure data integrity.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with federal financial compliance.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
