Our client, a well-established and highly respected financial services firm, is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to join their collaborative, close-knit team. Salary/Hourly

Rate

$40/hr - $60/hr (temp-to-perm, based on experience and tax software proficiency)

Position Overview

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in preparing and reviewing a wide range of tax filings while partnering closely with internal teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This position offers long-term growth potential, strong visibility, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role after the contract period. You will start with in-office training to set you up for success, then move into a flexible hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

Of The Senior Tax Accountant
  • Prepare and review individual (1040), corporate (1120 / 1120-S), and partnership (1065) tax returns.
  • Maintain accurate tax documentation, work papers, and filings in compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on tax compliance, planning, and deadline management.
  • Utilize CCH Axcess and related workflow tools to manage multiple engagements efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally via email and Microsoft Teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support partners and senior team members with ad hoc tax projects as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Tax Accountant
  • 4+ years of experience in public accounting or tax accounting roles.
  • Hands-on experience using CCH Axcess.
  • Strong understanding of individual, corporate, and partnership tax filings.
  • Excellent written communication skills and comfort working in hybrid/remote settings.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Experience /Skills for the Senior Tax Accountant
  • Experience using XCM workflow management tools
  • Background in a small to mid-sized public accounting or financial services firm
  • Exposure to tax planning and review responsibilities
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
