Position Title:

Tax Senior

Location:

New York, NY (Hybrid) Salary Range: $85,000 to $115,000

An independent, full‑service accounting and advisory firm specializing in accounting and consulting services for businesses and individuals is seeking to hire an experienced Tax Senior to join their team. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with tax laws and regulations, and implementing strategies to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing financial efficiency.

This is a ground floor opportunity to assist with the success of a growing entrepreneurial enterprise.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining a strong understanding of current tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and developing strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
  • Maintaining positive client relationships through clear communication and exceptional service.
  • Staying updated on industry developments and participating in continuing education opportunities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, taxation required, CPA preferred.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a CPA firm or relevant experience.
  • Experience using CCH, Axcess preferred, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products preferred.
