We support organizations through technical accounting matters, GAAP and SEC reporting, transaction-related accounting, and process improvement initiatives. We’re currently looking for a Senior Technical Accountant to join our Accounting Advisory team. If you’re excited to take ownership of high impact engagements, apply your technical accounting expertise to complex client needs, and collaborate closely with seasoned former Big Four leaders, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Do:
- Advise clients on new and complex accounting pronouncements
- Assist clients in ensuring financial records are in accordance with GAAP
- Review/Prepare GAAP basis financial statements and disclosures
- Review/Prepare work papers to support an audit
- Assist companies with SOX 404 compliance
- Contribute to operational initiatives, such as assisting with month-end close activities, reporting improvements, and process documentation
What You'll Bring:
- BA in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Audit experience in a top 15 accounting firm required; “Big 4” experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of SOX/COSO Integrated Internal Control Framework
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Knowledge of US GAAP and general business and operational principles, including audit practices, tools, techniques, concepts and trends. Knowledge of IFRS a plus
- Operational accounting experience (e.g., financial close, reporting, internal control process support) preferred
- Strong process and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Word and Excel proficiency
- CPA obtained or in progress
