Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team, a home goods and textiles wholesaler located in Manhattan. This full-time, on-site position is responsible for managing key financial operations, including bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, payroll, taxation, and ongoing financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, and eager to contribute to the financial stability and continued growth of the company.

• Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and customer account tracking
• Process payroll and complete related reporting
• Assist with tax preparation, filings, and compliance requirements
• Maintain financial records and support month-end processes
• Collaborate with management to provide financial insights that support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Proven accounting experience with bank reconciliation, accounts receivable, payroll, and taxation
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Manhattan
• Salary will be determined based on experience
