Staff Accountant

Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing, global supply chain organization to identify an Accountant / Data Analyst for its New York–based accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys combining core accounting responsibilities with data analysis in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations with a focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
, while also leveraging data to deliver insights that inform business decisions. You’ll work closely with accounting leadership to ensure accurate reporting, strengthen internal controls, and continuously improve processes as the organization expands.

This position is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a collaborative team.

Accounts Receivable

• Manage invoicing, collections, and AR reporting with accuracy and timeliness
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on outstanding balances

Accounts Payable

• Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure timely payments in accordance with company policies
• Perform vendor reconciliations and support AP process improvements

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Analyze financial data to identify trends related to revenue, margins, expenses, and profitability
• Support internal financial reporting and management dashboards
• Assist with ERP system enhancements and accounting module improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience, with hands‑on exposure to AR and AP
• Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial reporting
• Experience working with ERP systems strongly preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time‑management skills
