Salary/Hourly Rate$23/hr - $30/hr (Depending on experience and qualifications)
Position OverviewThe Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate records of accounts, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding invoices. This role is critical to the financial health of the organization and requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Responsibilities Of The Accounts Receivable Specialist- Generate and send invoices to customers promptly.
- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
- Apply payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer records.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing issues and resolve disputes.
- Prepare aging reports and assist with month‑end close processes.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure billing accuracy.
- Support audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Recommend improvements to AR processes and procedures.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, SAP, Oracle, Net Suite).
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and collections practices.
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
