Accounts Payable Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Port Washington, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Responsibilities:

- Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and proper coding.

- Conduct regular check runs and manage payment schedules.

- Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions.

- Utilize Quick Books to manage financial data and reporting.

- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address payment inquiries.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures for financial operations.

- Prepare reports and reconcile accounts as needed.

- Collaborate with internal teams to support accounting functions.

- Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable processes.

- Assist with month-end and year-end financial close activities.

Requirements

- Previous experience in accounts payable or similar financial roles.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and other accounting software.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

- Excellent communication skills for vendor and team interactions.

- Knowledge of invoice coding and payment processing.
