Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Caledonia

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Caledonia, New York. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of accounts payable processes across multiple locations. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities to contribute to month-end close and reconciliation tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable invoices by entering them into the accounting system, matching purchase orders with receipts, and obtaining necessary approvals.

- Categorize expenses accurately and ensure proper coding for financial reporting.

- Perform monthly reconciliations of both the general ledger and vendor statements to maintain financial accuracy.

- Prepare weekly check runs, review them with the supervisor, and ensure timely processing of payments.

- Assist in the preparation of the trial balance and contribute to month-end closing activities.

- Support accounts payable functions across various locations, ensuring consistency and compliance.

- Collaborate with the controller to address discrepancies and maintain efficient workflows.

- Utilize Quick Books and Excel to manage data and generate reports as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related roles.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel for financial management and reporting.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Ability to reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.

- Associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with vendors and internal teams.

- Adaptability to work both on-site and occasionally from home, as needed.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
