Director of Technical Accounting @ Healthtech

Coda Search is partnering with a rapidly growing company that has a unique business model for the healthtech sector. They’re backed by some of the largest investors in the world and have been growing exponentially over the past few years. The team is seeking to hire a Director of Technical Accounting who will lead all technical accounting research, transaction support, consolidations, and accounting policy, working closely with the wider accounting/finance team.

• Lead and manage the firm’s accounting policy, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and evolving financial regulations
• Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting pronouncements (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842)
• Oversee the integration of newly acquired entities into the parent company’s financial reporting structure
• Supervise and mentor a small team, fostering professional development and efficiency
• Drive process improvements and establish best practices for accounting procedures
• Partner closely with senior leadership to manage key projects and business initiatives
• Support internal and external audits, preparing and reviewing audit documentation

• 8+ years of accounting experience, with a strong foundation in technical accounting
• Prior public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred)
• CPA required
• Strong consolidation and financial reporting experience
• Proven ability to improve processes and implement core accounting procedures
• Excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills
