This role operates on a hybrid schedule requiring two days of in-office collaboration per week from our office in New York City (opening in February of 2026)

About The Role

As the Senior Treasury Accountant, you will play a key role in streamlining and maintaining our general ledger accounting processes and ensuring the integrity of our financial records. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, you will support our month-end close process by performing critical tasks and analyses, contributing to our overall objective of providing timely and accurate financial results.

You will also be responsible for assisting in developing scalable and sustainable processes as our business grows, and you will work cross-functionally in a fast paced environment where creative problem solving is highly valued. You are a highly motivated, technically proficient person, with a strong sense of ownership and business ethics to deliver quality work on a daily basis.

This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to work cross-functionally with an experienced and dynamic leadership team.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing month end close activities, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial reporting tasks
  • Perform treasury accounting and FX accounting
  • Perform payroll accounting and reconciliations
  • Responsible for four way reconciliation of order to cash transactions between the subledger, payment channel, bank, and GL
  • Conduct month end variance analyses and presentation to stakeholders
  • Responsible for developing financial statements and related notes
  • Responsible for project managing financial audits
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure expenses are captured appropriately
  • Proactively identify issues and assist in optimizing systems and automation of accounting processes
  • Aid in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures
  • Research and document issues, monitor internal controls
  • Contribute to special projects as needed; completing deliverables on time

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years of progressive experience; a combination of public accounting and industry experience required
  • Experience with Net Suite, Tipalti, and Ramp preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience reconciling large sets of data
  • Self-starter who can creatively solve problems
  • Effective writing, presentation and informal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about marketplaces
Compensation & Benefits:

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent, and equitable. Total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $88,000 - $120,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
