Job Description
A busy, well-established Tax Preparation Office in Downtown Brooklyn (11201) is seeking an experienced Seasonal Tax Preparer / Accountant to support operations during the 2026 tax season.
This is a high-volume, hands-on role ideal for tax professionals who are comfortable preparing individual and small business returns using professional tax software and working directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual and small business tax returns
- Accurately enter and review data using professional tax software
- Communicate with clients to collect documents and clarify tax information
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Assist with basic bookkeeping and financial records when needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
- ** 2+ years of experience
** as a Tax Preparer or Tax Accountant - Hands‑on experience with Pro Series and Lacerte (required)
- Working knowledge of Quick Books
- Experience with Pro Connect or Ultra Tax is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Availability to work full-time hours, including Saturdays , during tax season
