Position: Project Accountant

Location: New York

Package: $110,000 – 150,000 + Bonus & Package

Capstone Americas is pleased to be partnering with a prominent general contracting (GC) company recognized as among the top GC firms in New York. This firm holds multiple awards and proudly maintains robust relationships with numerous FT500 clients across finance, technology, life sciences, and corporate interior sectors. Due to a market leading reputation and best-in-class delivery, this GC holds an impressive lineup of projects and shows no indication of slowing down.

They aim to expand their finance and cost capabilities as a result. Central to the company is an ethos of delivering excellence to their clients and fostering long-term partnerships. Employees experience lengthy tenures and remarkably low attrition rates compared to competing GC firms.

Our client is looking for someone with experience in the construction industry as a Project Account who has worked on projects of above $10M. This individual needs to be collaborative, organized, and resilient.

• Handle Accounts Payable invoices and payment procedures.
• Establish and input project budgets.
• Oversee the Owner Billing Process.
• Manage intercompany invoices, payments, and reconciliation.
• Aid in Monthly Cost Reporting and the monthly financial closing process.
• Uphold compliance with Accounting policies across all projects.
• Correspond with vendors and clients.
• Conduct analysis on costs and revenue.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 4+ years experience in Project Accounting.
• Experience working as a Project Accountant in the construction industry.
• Organized individuals.
• Proficiency in MS packages including Excel, and CMiC.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Strong written and oral communications skills and strong initiative.
