Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist will support collection activities, track slow‑paying customers, and escalates unresolved accounts to the appropriate teams. Additionally, they will assist with billing tasks. Elise

AI is growing its in‑house Accounting department to create a top‑tier team that drives the company's growth by supporting other business functions and providingിറ്റ insights into business performance. This role is crucial for resolving overdue invoices and enhancing the company’s cash flow. The position is based at our New York City headquarters.

• Monitor outstanding balances, proactively follow up on overdue accounts, and collaborate with customers to address payment concerns. This includes sending account statements, partnering with Customer Success Managers to resolve issues, and keeping detailed, up‑to‑date records of collections activities and documentation.
• Ability to handle large volumes of AR and tailor collection methods based on customer responses or lack thereof.
• Support the team by preparing and distributing complex accounts receivable invoices for customers using billing platforms like Subscript, Net Suite, and other relevant tools.
• Create customized customer invoices for submission through third‑party billing portals.
• Assist in maintaining up‑to‑date customer information in Salesforce, Net Suite, and other billing solutions.
• Assist with billing portal registrations and compliance efforts by coordinating with customers and, when necessary, collaborating with the legal team, customer success team, and insurance broker.

• B गीत’ degree preferred; major in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in billing and accounts receivable; high‑growth enterprise, SaaS experience preferred.
• Experience with accounting ERP systems in previous role(s) (Net Suite and Salesforce experience preferred).
• Proficiency in  Office and  applications, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Direct and clear communicator, both written and verbal. Not afraid to speak up.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and an interest in continuous process improvement.
• Comfortable handling and analyzing large datasets, including 100,000+ transactions.
