Job Title: Accounting Lead

Compensation: $200,000 - $225,000 + equity

Location: New York, New York - REMOTE

We are partnering with an innovative AI‑driven SaaS company, backed by top‑tier investors, who are scaling rapidly and seeking a hands‑on Accounting Lead to build and own the accounting function as they prepare for hypergrowth. As the Accounting Lead, you will be the cornerstone of the finance operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and scalable processes. You’ll partner closely with leadership to implement best practices and support strategic decision‑making.

• Own the accounting function
  :
  Manage all aspects of accounting, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and month‑end close.
• Implement and optimize Net Suite
  :
  Drive system setup, integrations, and workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Financial reporting & compliance
  :
  Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Scale processes
  :
  Design and implement scalable accounting processes to support rapid growth and future fundraising rounds.
• Cross‑functional collaboration
  :
  Work closely with FP&A, operations, and leadership to provide insights and support strategic initiatives.
• Audit readiness
  :
  Lead audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.

• CPA designation and Big 4 public accounting experience required.
• Net Suite expertise
  :
  Proven experience implementing and managing Net Suite in a SaaS environment.
• Startup experience
  :
  Worked in two or more SaaS or AI startups, ideally during early growth stages.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition principles.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; comfortable being both strategic and hands‑on.
