Deputy Team Lead- US Accounting

Job Role & Responsibilities

Work Related :

• Reviewing work done by Team Members on day to day basis
• Answering to questions raised by team on ongoing basis
• Training team member/s on specific task/s as and when needed
• Ensuring Month End Closing process is being done as per SOPs
• Profit and Loss Statement Review and Analysis
• Balance Sheet Statement Review and Analysis
• Learning new apps and reporting tools required for client service
• Cross training team members on client’s processes and tasks
• Drafting SOPs and validating the same with other team members

Client Related :

• Managing portfolio of 3-5 US clients
• Addressing client communication promptly
• Attending to regular client calls for query discussion
• Conducting weekly call with client to ensure client satisfaction
• Developing and nurturing client relationship
• Handling escalations if any
• Handling transition of new clients

Team Related :

• Managing total team of 3-5 members which is a combination of Bookkeepers, US Accountants and Sr. US Accountants
• Managing work allocation and resource bandwidth within team
• Ensuring client deliverables are delivered with desired accuracy and as per agreed timelines
• Review and validation of SOPs or training videos for various processes

Management Related:

• Regular reporting on Team performance
• Client satisfaction index
• Resource Bandwidth Allocation

• Fluent written and verbal English communication is a must
• Exposure of handling overseas clients is a must
• Prior experience of handling team of 2 members is necessary
• Ability and willingness to handle multiple clients is necessary
• Good knowledge of US Accounting process is necessary

B.Com or M.Com or CA Inter or CA or MBA or ICWA

3 Years or more in core US Accounting process or similar domain is a must. Good working knowledge of US Accounting, Month closing and reporting is necessary.
