Accountant, Accounting Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Review and process financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with agency policies and applicable regulations.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, schedules, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to inquiries as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve accounting discrepancies and support financial operations.
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and reporting.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with standard office and accounting software tools.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
• Minimum of 1+ year of accounting experience in a professional environment.
