Overview

Our client, a leading global real estate firm headquartered in New York, NY, is seeking a Real Estate Accountant to join their Finance team. This role focuses on accounting functions related to real estate operations and supports broader corporate reporting initiatives. The candidate handles daily accounting activities and contributes to monthly close, consolidated reporting, and cross-team collaboration with Property and Fund Finance.

$42.00/hr - $44.00/hr

• Process and review real estate–related invoices and monitor daily bank activity
• Prepare and post journal entries; perform account and bank reconciliations
• Support month-end close, including financial statement preparation and reporting packages
• Assist with internal and external reporting requirements
• Work with consolidated financial statements, including intercompany activity

• 2–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within real estate or corporate accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required)
• Experience with consolidated financial statements strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
