Work Schedule: Mostly on-site, with some flexibility outside of tax season

Position Type: Direct-Hire/Permanent (no temp or contract period)

Overview: We have two small CPA firms seeking Tax Accountants in New City, NY. Each role is unique, but both are looking for folks with experience in public accounting doing business and personal tax returns. Salaries are flexible based on experience, and have strong growth potential due to the key "right hand of the owner" nature of these roles.

• Review and complete a high volume of personal and business tax returns.
• Perform tax research.
• Review projections and become involved in planning for complex clients.
• Manage business and tax planning for personal and business clients.
• Analyze IRS notices and drafts responses.
• Delegate work to administrative support staff.
• Act as billing manager for all client engagement assigned.
• Act as key client contact person for assigned clients.
• Contribute to the client service by producing quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service.
• Establish good working relationships with all team members and existing clients.

• 5-10+ years of public tax accounting experience
• Experience with Thomson Reuters or Lacerte software highly desirable
