Responsibilities- Perform accounting functions as assigned including, but not limited to, booking, reconciling and reporting financial activity.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries including leases, payroll, reserve adjustments, prepaids and deposits.
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
- Ensure all financial closing and reporting deadlines are met.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and flux analysis.
- Interact with FP&A, Payroll and other departments to align actual with budget.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes filed on a quarterly and annually.
- Partner with external audit teams and help with the overall administration of external audits.
- Maintain organized, accurate and complete accounting records, electronically and in hard copies as necessary.
- Back‑up month‑end duties assigned to other accountants.
- Identify areas for process improvement and stream‑lining.
- Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Develop trustworthy relationships with colleagues.
- Mentor and train interns as needed.
- All other ad‑hoc functions.
- 3–5 years practical accounting experience with an undergraduate accounting degree.
- Familiarity with month‑end close and journal entry process.
- Strong analytical and planning skills, together with a solid accounting/control background.
- Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of SAP and BPC is a plus.
- Knowledge of GAAP.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, able to manipulate and extract large amounts of data from disparate sources.
- Ability to create ad‑hoc reports and analyses.
- Works well in a fast‑paced environment.
Salary Range: $78,500–$90,000 (base) with optional performance‑based incentives and commission. Includes matching 401(k). Additional benefits: medical, dental, vision, PTO, merchandise discounts, career development opportunities and a welcoming workplace culture.
