About The CompanyOur client is a mid-sized bank catering towards local individuals and business customers. The Assistant Controller will support all responsibilities for the accounting department and report to the CFO and Controller.
Responsibilities- Manage bank account balances and review daily cash position reports
- Prepare accruals and assist in the month-end close process
- Prepare and review various daily and monthly general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare and review daily wires
- Maintain and perform bank lease accounting functions
- Review daily ACH and in-clearing reconciliations
- Prepare and review deposit reports
- Submit semi-weekly 945 tax with holdings and file annually
- Assist in compiling documents needed for the bank’s external and internal auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 7-10 years of related accounting experience
- Experience managing a team
- Experience with Prologue, DNA, and other core products is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of accounting principles and techniques
$80,000-$120,000
