Overview
Kforce's client in Babylon, NY, a long‑standing, well respected Long Island based CPA firm with Nassau and Suffolk County, is seeking a Tax Director. The Tax Director will lead and participate in a diverse array of tax assignments. This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with all levels of firm personnel and clientele on beautiful Long Island – no need to commute to NYC.

The Tax Director will:
- Lead and manage tax projects for a portfolio of clients
- Work collaboratively with firm personnel at all levels
- Provide tax strategy and planning advice to clients and internal stakeholders
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of tax regulations and industry changes

• CPA, EA and/or Master’s degree preferred
• 15+ years of public accounting tax experience with solid technical accounting experience in a mid‑sized CPA firm
• Confident, well‑spoken, and good leadership skills are a must

Compensation
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Note:

Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law. This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
