Tax Senior/Supervisor – NYC/NJAre you ready to elevate your career with a top-tier regional accounting and advisory firm?
In this role, you will work with a wide variety of prominent and highly successful clients, handling tax planning and review of individual, trust, foundation, partnership, and corporate tax returns, including consolidated and multi-state returns. As a Tax Senior, you will also review federal and state quarterly estimated payments, assist with tax audits, and conduct light research projects. Strong communication skills and a polished demeanor are essential as you will interact with clients, audit managers, and tax staff.
Job Responsibilities- Reviewing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns in accordance with firm procedures and policies
- Completing tasks in a timely manner
- Addressing roadblocks by asking appropriate questions and seeking counsel
- Setting effective work assignment priorities
- Ensuring that job execution, documentation, and completion adhere to required policies and procedures
- Producing clear, concise, thorough, and professional‑quality results
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or law
- CPA, MS in Taxation, and/or LLM preferred (or in process)
- Approximately 5 years of experience working in tax for a public accounting firm, or similar industry experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of GoSystem and/or Pro System is a plus
