Responsibilities- Prepare complex tax returns (federal/state), multi-state, and multi-source income.
- Reconcile and forecast tax returns.
- Use Quick Books for general ledger work and tax write-ups.
- Review and organize client tax data for processing.
- Draft responses to tax authority notices and manage audits.
- Maintain tax calendar and communicate with clients to obtain necessary documentation.
- Address client inquiries regarding tax return filings.
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Licensed NY CPA or candidate.
- 2-3+ years of experience in accounting/tax preparation for corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
- Willing to train candidates with demonstrated accounting skills to meet licensing requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in CCH Pro Systems fx, Quick Books, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
