Overview
Our client, a growing services organization, is seeking an Assistant Controller to join their team in New Rochelle, NY. This role will play a key part in corporate operational accounting and management reporting, supporting leadership with accurate financial insights and driving process improvements. Responsibilities- Financial statement preparation:
Consolidate and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to summarize the company 0s financial status. - Budgeting and forecasting:
Assist with the annual budget process, financial forecasting, and analyze cost variances to support financial planning. - Audit and compliance:
Serve as a liaison to external auditors and ensure all accounting practices comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations. - Internal controls:
Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and policies to protect company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. - General ledger management:
Oversee all aspects of the general ledger, including preparing and posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts. - Team management:
Supervise and delegate tasks to junior accounting staff, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- CPA with 5+ years of public accounting experience.
- Progressive operational accounting experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel) and Dynamics.
