About the Role

Lighthouse Search Advisors is partnering with a fast-expanding distribution company to hire a Senior Accountant for their U.S. headquarters in Hollywood, Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, multi-entity environment that connects operations across North and South America.

The ideal candidate is a systems-minded accounting professional who thrives in fast-moving businesses and understands how to use technology to create clarity and efficiency in financial reporting. Experience with robust, cloud-based ERP solutions—such as Oracle Cloud, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Acumatica—is essential.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee daily accounting operations spanning A/P, A/R, and cash management.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities.
• Partner cross-functionally with logistics, HR, and operations teams to align on cost allocations and reporting.
• Prepare tax filings, manage vendor payments, and ensure full compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with audits and maintain thorough, well-organized financial documentation.
• Build dashboards and automated reports through the company’s ERP system to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen internal controls.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in import/export, logistics, or distribution.
• Deep hands‑on experience with a leading ERP system (Oracle Cloud, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Acumatica, or comparable).
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and accounting best practices.
  
  Advanced Excel proficiency; familiarity with additional accounting tools is a plus.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required to collaborate effectively with teams throughout Latin America.
• A proactive mindset with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
