Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team in Manhattan, NY. In this hybrid role, the Senior Accountant will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. Responsibilities include supporting the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with audits and compliance initiatives. Responsibilities- Support the general ledger, journal entries, and monthly/annual close process.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review for unusual or aged items.
- Research and resolve accounting issues to ensure proper treatment in line with US GAAP.
- Assist with internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit requests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy and process consistency.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency in financial reporting.
- Support ad-hoc projects and provide assistance across accounting functions.
- 2–6 years of relevant experience, ideally in private industry (Consumer Products or E-Commerce); public accounting experience also considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- CPA certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with SAP is a plus.
