This role ensures accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the development of strategies to reduce tax liabilities while improving financial efficiency.

Tax & Accounting Manager - NYC - MUST BE CURRENTLY WORKING IN A CPA FIRM

• Oversee all phases of tax planning, preparation, review, compliance, and research
• Prepare and review diverse returns (individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, multistate)
• Apply in-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and industry-specific issues to client strategies
• Utilize tools such as Thomson Reuters CCH Axcess, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office, and Quick Books
• Coordinate complex accounting projects across the team and maintain high-quality work standards
• Build and manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for added value
• Review and approve engagement work papers; plan, schedule, and allocate staff resources
• Supervise and mentor staff accountants, providing feedback and performance evaluations
• Monitor tax law developments and implement relevant process improvements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Required)
• CPA license (Required)
• 7+ years in a CPA firm environment (Required)
• Proficiency in CCH Axcess, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (Preferred)

• Strong technical tax expertise with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, proactive mindset with a “firm first” approach
