We’re working with a well-established client in New York’s public accounting sector who is looking for an experienced Audit Senior to join their team. This opportunity offers exposure to a diverse portfolio including corporate, non-for-profit, and specialised audit engagements, making it ideal for a qualified CPA (or equivalent) who thrives on variety.

The opportunity

• As an Audit Senior, you’ll take ownership of planning, executing, and completing audit assignments for clients across industries — from large corporations to non-for-profit organisations. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the public accounting spectrum, applying your technical expertise while mentoring junior staff and ensuring engagements meet the highest standards.
• Lead audit fieldwork for corporate, non-for-profit, and public accounting clients
• Oversee all stages of the audit process — planning, risk assessment, testing, and reporting
• Review work prepared by junior team members and provide constructive feedback
• Maintain strong client relationships across corporate and non-for-profit sectors
• Apply CPA-level technical knowledge to resolve complex accounting issues
• Ensure compliance with relevant audit and public accounting standards and regulations
• CPA, ACA, or equivalent qualification (or working towards completion)
• Solid experience in audit within a public accounting environment, ideally including non-for-profit engagements
• Strong communication skills for building client and team relationships
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering outstanding client service across corporate, audit, and non-for-profit engagements
