Infrastructure Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in New York, NY(Hybrid). This role serves as the technical SME for data center systems, guiding architectural decisions and operational best practices.

Rate Range: $58/hour to $61/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Infrastructure Engineer job responsibilities include:

* Designing, developing, and testing web‑based applications and backend components while ensuring high performance, usability, and maintainability.

* Leading production support activities by troubleshooting complex issues, providing technical solutions, and ensuring application stability across multiple teams.

* Documenting technical designs, specifications, and updates while continuously improving application functionality and site content.

* Collaborating with designers, developers, and cross‑functional teams to implement cohesive, user‑focused web solutions and support key technical decisions.

* Conducting code reviews, enforcing best development practices, and mentoring junior developers to enhance team performance and code quality.

* Staying current with modern web technologies and development trends to drive innovation and process improvements across the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

* 7+ years of hands‑on software development experience, with a strong background in Java‑based application development.

* Advanced proficiency in Java and REST API development, with proven experience supporting and troubleshooting applications in production environments.

* Strong ability to collaborate across multiple teams, lead technical decisions, and uphold best practices through code reviews and process improvements.

Pay Details: $58.00 to $61.00 per hour
