Contract C#/.NET Engineer - NYC - Up to $2,000/day
A leading Hedge Fund is seeking an elite C#/.NET Engineer to join their technology team for a long-term contract engagement. You will play a critical role in a high-performance application migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core, working on complex, latency-sensitive systems used in global trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core.
- Design, build, and optimise high-performance C# applications.
- Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other engineers to deliver low-latency, scalable solutions.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and performance tuning.
- Proven track record building high-performance, low-latency C# applications in financial services or similarly demanding environments.
- Deep knowledge of .NET Core and .NET Framework.
- Strong understanding of multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Able to work on-site in NYC 3 days per week.
- Rate: Up to $2,000/day (depending on experience)
- Location: New York City (Hybrid - 3 days on-site)
- Duration: Long-term contract
