The RoleCedar is seeking a Software Engineer II to be a core contributor on our Communications Platform squad within the Patient pillar. The Communications Platform team works in a cross-functional squad (engineering, product, and design) to engage with patients empathetically and efficiently. We build the core systems that enable flexible, reliable, and scalable communications across various channels, helping patients get the information they need and navigate their healthcare journey with confidence.
Responsibilities- Build and enhance core communications features:
Own the development of new features and enhancements to our communications platform. Ensure our systems are robust, secure, and scalable as we reach more patients. - Contribute to impactful projects:
Independently take on and deliver epics and smaller-scoped projects, from initial planning to post-launch maintenance. Proactively identify metrics to measure impact on team goals. - Diagnose and optimize:
Investigate and resolve issues to maintain high availability and performance, addressing bottlenecks to keep communications running smoothly. - Collaborate across teams:
Partner with product, design, and other engineering teams to understand patient needs and translate them into technical solutions. Provide feedback on designs and code reviews.
- Experience:
2+ years of professional experience building and deploying production-level software. - Technical
Skills:
Proficient in at least one major programming language with a solid foundation in computer science fundamentals. - Problem-Solving:
Proactive problem-solver who can independently tackle challenges and own projects from start to finish. - Collaboration:
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate technical ideas to technical and non-technical audiences; a team player who gives and receives feedback constructively. - Passion for our Mission:

- Salary/Hourly Range: $145,000 - $169,938
