Join Highlight’s AI‑driven desktop assistant team as a Senior Full‑Stack Software Engineer. Work on the cross‑platform Electron app, native integrations, AI features, and system architecture. On‑site, five days a week in NYC.

NYC headquarters – on‑site, full‑time, five days a week.

• Design, build, and maintain core Electron desktop application features.
• Own end‑to‑end user‑facing and infrastructure features, from UI to native modules.
• Develop and integrate LLM‑based functionality into the desktop app.
• Collaborate on native code written in C++ (Windows) and Swift (macOS).
• Help make architectural decisions and contribute to the technical direction of the company.

• 5+ years of experience in a hyperspeed startup – ship features fast.
• Robust full‑stack background:
  Node.js, Type Script, React, and Electron for desktop apps.
• Experience building and product ionizing AI/LLM‑powered features on OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Bedrock, or Azure; prompt engineering skills.
• Native development experience: C++ and Swift, building cross‑platform modules.
• Knowledge of modern cloud platforms (Cloudflare, AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Ownership mentality – no task too small; strong communication and collaboration.
• Deep understanding of system architecture and design patterns.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to NYC.
