Frontend Engineer - Elite Hedge Fund

About the Role

We are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces for trading, risk, and research platforms at a leading hedge fund. Your work will empower quantitative researchers, portfolio managers, and risk analysts with real‑time insights and seamless workflows in one of the most dynamic industries in the world.

As a mid‑level engineer with around five years of experience, you’ll take ownership of core features, collaborate with backend and quantitative engineering teams, and continuously grow your expertise in building responsive, data‑driven web applications. • Develop User Interfaces:
  Build responsive, data‑rich web applications that traders and analysts rely on daily.
• Collaborate Across Teams:
  Work with backend engineers and quantitative researchers to integrate complex data and models into intuitive interfaces.
• Ensure Performance:
  Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and responsiveness under real‑time market conditions.
• Maintain Code Quality:
  Write clean, testable, maintainable code while contributing to peer reviews and team standards.
• Contribute to Design Systems:
  Help evolve component libraries and UI frameworks that support consistency and rapid development.
• Continuous Learning:
  Stay up‑to‑date with modern frontend technologies while expanding knowledge of financial systems.

• Professional
  
  Experience:
  
  5+ years building production‑grade frontend applications.
• Languages & Frameworks:
  Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), Type Script, and experience with React (Vue or Angular also a plus).
• Styling & Tooling:
  Familiarity with CSS3, SCSS, Tailwind, styled‑components, and build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Rollup.
• Testing:
  Experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Data Visualization:
  Exposure to libraries such as D3.js, Highcharts, or Plotly is a strong plus.
• Cloud & CI/CD:
  Experience deploying applications in AWS, GCP, or Azure and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaboration:
  
  Ability to communicate effectively with designers, backend engineers, and quantitative researchers.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
