As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy government ferry location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help to deter security-related incidents. You will support passenger and staff needs through strong communication and customer service while reporting concerns with professionalism.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, commuters, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminals, waiting areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.

+ Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify identification and/or credentials when required, and direct people to the proper checkpoint or office in accordance with post orders.

+ Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and local responders as needed.

+ Complete detailed reports and logs, document incidents and patrol observations, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + Have Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years.

+ Possess a TSA Issued TWIC.

+ Guard Card/License is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
