** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, disorderly conduct, and service-related concerns.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned buildings, corridors, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.

+ Control access at designated entrances and other access points by verifying authorization, assisting with visitor sign-in processes, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.

+ Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other facility systems as assigned and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or appropriate responders.

+ Assist with de-escalation efforts when interacting with agitated individuals, using verbal techniques and requesting additional support as needed.

+ Document security-related incidents, observations, and actions taken in daily activity reports and incident reports per site requirements.

+ Help maintain order in public areas by addressing loitering, smoking in prohibited areas, and other policy concerns through courteous communication and escalation when necessary.

+ Support patient privacy and confidentiality expectations by limiting the sharing of sensitive information and directing inquiries to appropriate facility staff.

+ Coordinate with nursing units, facilities teams, and local public services as directed during medical emergencies, fire alarms, and other urgent events.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ CPR certification is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
